General Guidelines – All Modesta Coatings

• Minimise air contact: Avoid unnecessary shaking or swirling that introduces air inside the bottle into the liquid. Air exposure can accelerate deterioration.
• Do NOT shake during storage: Unless ready to apply, keep bottles stationary and upright. Do not swirl, whisk or agitate unnecessarily.
• Mixing before use (excluding BC-06 & BC-09)
• For most Modesta coatings,  it is recommended to shake immediately prior to application to ensure the contents are evenly mixed.

Proper Storage Conditions

To maintain coating quality during storage:

• Store in a temperature-controlled environment: Room temperature is ideal (21c) Avoid hot, humid, or freezing conditions.
• Use a temperature-controlled cabinet if possible.
• Keep away from direct sunlight.
• Never store Modesta coatings in a car.
• Heat Exposure: The interior of a car can reach extreme temperatures that negatively effect shelf life.
• Vibration: Constant movement and vibration in a car can cause the liquid to mix with the air in the bottle, accelerating product deterioration.

BC-06/BC-09 - Special Handling Instructions

BC-06 and BC-09 HIGH SENSITIVITY TO AIR EXPOSURE!

These coatings are extremely reactive to air and must be handled with extra care.

• Do not shake or whisk.
• Avoid mixing with air at all times. This includes during transport, storage, and preparation.
• Use the product promptly after opening, and seal the cap tightly between applications.

Shaking BC-06 or BC-09 introduces air and can significantly reduce shelf life and product performance.

EPC – Exterior Plastic Coating

• Do not shake, especially after the first use.
• Air in the bottle will degrade the remaining product.
• Dispense only what you need, reseal immediately, and avoid agitation or swirling.
• As with all Modesta products, do not store EPC in your vehicle.

Best Practice Reminders

• Store all coatings upright in a room temperature, dry place.
• Use only clean, dry pipettes or dispensers to prevent contamination.
• Never pour leftover product back into the original bottle.
• Keep all caps tightly sealed when not in use.
• During installations, remove the bottle cap only when extracting the product, and promptly replace it afterward to minimise air exposure.
• Educate all staff on these best practices as part of your Standard Operating Procedures.
